  Truly amazing! - I took a trip to Kenya and Tanzania for 2 weeks with ESSENIA safari experts. I did not have much preparation for the same. But none of that mattered because... read more everything was taken care of in the best possible manner. Starting from the airport pickup to drop back there, every step was fully prepared and explained well to me.After being introduced by Sam i was taken around by George in Kenya who was extremely knowledgeable and had all the patience to make sure I saw everything possible . The safaris were truly a delight and was a treat to the eyes. I also went to Tanzania and the inter country immigration was taken care of very smoothly after which i went with our next guide Nickson. Even with the hectic long drives he was so patient with me and tried his best to show all the animals.
This trip really was an eye opener to me and I though roughly enjoyed every bit of it. All of them were so friendly and accommodating. On the last day I wanted an extra visiting which they were kind enough to incorporate without any extra money! Honestly I had NO complaints about Essenia because all our needs were taken care of in the best possible way. I wouldn't have any hesitation recommending Essenia to others.

We visited three lakes: Baringo, Nakuru and finally Naivasha. Essenia booked the three good quality lodges, provided our enthusiastic guide/driver, George, who was safe and knowledgable and arranged requested excursions, such as boat trips. The 4x4 vehicle had a pop-up top for easy viewing and George had good knowledge of the best places to see birds and mammals.

The next 4 days we spent in Masai Mara which I felt we went to heaven and back. Our guide Anthony is a fountain of knowledge, he is very experienced and passionate about his job! I am still gobsmacked that we managed to spot a rhino just as he said we will! We have completed the Big 5 sighting and he patiently shared his knowledge about the wild life and the people of Masai. I without any doubt would recommend him if you want an immersive experience.

Sam Waweru organized all of these for us and everything went swiftly, from the moment we stepped out of the airport till we leave he was with us all the way. They only deal with quality properties and have their own safari land cruisers too.

  Great guide! Wonderful tours - My cousin and I began 6 weeks in East Africa and Egypt with 8 days in Kenya. Our Egypt tour company recommended Essenia. With fairly short notice, they worked with... read more us to put together a great itinerary that included sights we hadn't realized we needed to see. Our guide was knowledgeable, calm, a great driver, and very professional. Because this was the last tour planned, we were very interested in keeping costs down. Despite the very reasonable rate we were given, our accommodations were good, especially the two hotels in Nairobi. The property at Lake Naivasha was very fun, with wild animals all over. We dodged zebras, antelopes, giraffes and monkeys. The staff was helpful and responsive. Our activities were a good mix of Safari, walking, hiking and learning about the local communities. Our Lake Nakuru stay was short, but we enjoyed great food and attentive staff. Finally, we spent a few days in the Masai Mara and saw every animal we could have imagined, as well as some we hadn't considered, like the ostriches!
All of the details of our trip were well planned and executed. We enjoyed the people and places. Upon returning to Nairobi, the agency made sure we had our covid tests and were settled at our airport hotel. It was a great week and we appreciate Sam, Njenga and all the staff at Essenia. Thanks for starting our vacation in a truly excellent way!
