Safari Overview
Highlights of this safari are Lake Victoria, Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi Forest, the Tree Climbing Lions of Queen Elizabeth National Park, the Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise, Lakes Edward and George. The safari is by air with game drives done in 4x4WD safari converted jeeps.
Day 01
Arrival Entebbe Airport-Boma Hotel
Upon arrival at the airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our guide who will then transfer you to Boma Hotel Entebbe/similar. Rest of the day will be at leisure for optional activities. Overnight stay at your hotel. Meal plan BB.
Day 02
Entebbe-Bwindi
Our guide/driver picks you at from The Boma in Entebbe for your transfer to Entebbe International Airports to catch your morning scheduled flight to Bwindi. This departs Entebbe at around 0745 arriving 0930 hrs. You will enjoy the Ariel view of the beautiful landscape across the lush western Uganda. The flight is only for 2 hours to one of the lushest highland rain forests on earth, filled with primates and exotic birds, valleys, hilltops and papyrus swamps. On your arrival at Kihihi airstrip, you will be transferred by our vehicle to your Lodge. The afternoon is spent on a village walk. The Buhoma Village Walk gives you a great opportunity to see how the people surrounding Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. It also is a great way to support the local community in a direct way. The Walk begins with your guide at Buhoma Community Rest Camp and is most informative, rewarding to the average visitor. It will amaze you how resourceful the local people are as you see and learn their ways. Dinner and overnight stay at Engagi Gorilla Lodge/similar Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Day 03
Bwindi Gorilla Trekking
Begin the day with breakfast ready for trekking, which begins at 8:00 am with a briefing from the UWA staff. Ensure to carry along with you rain jacket, drinking water, snacks, jungle boots etc. The guides will lead you inside the jungle to see the shy Primates for a group you have been booked for. Do not forget to take your lunch boxes and all the necessary gear to track the rare Mountain Gorilla, perhaps one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth. The tracking may take between 2 and 6 hours but it’s well worth the effort. Dinner and overnight stay at Engagi Gorilla Lodge /similar Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Day 04
Bwindi – Queen Elizabeth National Park via Ishasha
Begin your day with a cup of African coffee, ready for the drive to Queen Elizabeth North of Bwindi via the Ishasha sector. The drive takes you through the unique western rift valley escarpment and the (southern part of Queen Elizabeth National Park) Ishasha sector where you will take on yet another game drive in search of tree climbing lions. Proceed to Mweya Section; the journey takes about 4 hours but driving through interesting features. Dinner and overnight stay at Mweya Safari Lodge/similar. Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Day 05
Queen Elizabeth
Begin your day with a cup of coffee. Early morning game drive along Kasenyi and Queens Mile where visitors have a chance to encounter elephants, buffalo, water bucks, warthogs, lions, Uganda Kobs lakes and a variety of birds. Return to the lodge for breakfast and lunch. After lunch, a two-hour boat trip along the famous Kazinga channel is a worthwhile opportunity to see Hippo, Buffalo, Kobs, Elephants, warthogs etc. This trip also enables visitors to see spectacular birds along the Mweya Peninsular. Dinner and overnight stay at Mweya Safari Lodge/similar. Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Day 06
Queen Elizabeth – Entebbe Airport
Breakfast will be served at your lodge. Check out and transfer to the airstrip for your flight from Queen Elizabeth National Park. There are 2 Scheduled flights i.e. departing at 1020 arriving Entebbe at 1125 and the afternoon flight that leaves Kasese at 1455 arriving at 1555. Depending on your choice we will secure seats based on your schedule and return to Entebbe for your outbound flight back home or to your next destination. Meal Plan Breakfast. End of Services.
