Safari Overview
This safari is ideal for travelers seeking to come face to face with the huge, yet gentle giants; the mountain Gorillas that reside in Uganda’s Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National park, within 3 days. The safari is by flight.
Day 01
Entebbe - Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Our guide/driver picks you from your hotel in Entebbe for your transfer to Entebbe International Airport for your scheduled flight to Bwindi. You can choose to fly on the morning OR the afternoon flight. You will enjoy the Ariel view of the beautiful changing Landscape. The flight is only for 2 hours above the lushest highland rain forest on earth, filled with primates and exotic birds, valleys, hilltops and papyrus swamps. On your arrival to either Kihihi or Kisoro Airstrip, you will be transferred with our vehicle to your Lodge. Dinner and overnight stay at Buhoma Lodge/Mahogany Springs/Gorilla Safari Lodge/Nkuringo Bwindi Lodge/Similar (High end), Silverback Lodge/Engagi Lodge/Chameleon Hill Lodge/Similar (Mid-Range)/Similar: Meal plan: Lunch and Dinner.
Day 02
Bwindi Gorilla Trekking
Begin the day with breakfast ready for trekking, which begins at 8:00 am with a briefing from the UWA staff/ranger. Ensure to carry along with you a rain jacket, drinking water, snacks, jungle boots etc. The guides will lead you inside the jungle in search for the shy Primates. You will track the rare Mountain Gorilla, perhaps one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth. The tracking may take between 2 and 6 hours but it’s well worth the effort. The afternoon is spent on a village walk. The Buhoma Village Walk gives you a great opportunity to see how the people surrounding Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. It also is a great way to support the local community in a direct way. The Walk begins with your guide at Buhoma Community Rest Camp and is most informative, rewarding to the average visitor. It will amaze you how resourceful the local people are as you see and learn their ways. Dinner and overnight stay at Buhoma Lodge/Mahogany Springs/Gorilla Safari Lodge/Nkuringo Bwindi Lodge/Similar (High end), Silverback Lodge/Engagi Lodge/Chameleon Hill Lodge/Similar (Mid-Range). Day 03
Bwindi to the Airstrip fly back to Entebbe
You have 2 scheduled flight options returning from Bwindi, you may choose to take a morning flight at 1055 arriving Entebbe 1155 or with the afternoon flight departing Bwindi at 1405 arriving 1505 at Entebbe Airport. Whichever you choose, our guide will be ready to transfer you to the Airstrip in time for your flight. Arrival at Entebbe International Airport and connect onto your onward afternoon or late evening flight to your next destination. End of services. Meal plan: Breakfast. End of Services!
