Mara Sopa Lodge is found in Masai Mara National Reserve near Ololaimutia Gate. Like all other Sopa Lodges properties in Kenya and Tanzania, it tucked away on the edge of the reserve, enjoying panoramic views on the slopes of Ololaimutia Hills. Although it was one of the first lodges to be built in Masai Mara, the lodge has undergone regular refurbishments over the years. This ensures that the mid-range facility that adopted the design of traditional African round houses has a modern feel to it. The roofs at the lodge are conical and they stretch along the line of the hills with the impressively large public area buildings and the lodge’s swimming pool at their centre.

Mara Sopa Lodge is 250 kilometers from Nairobi with the drive taking about 5.5 hrs. A flight from Wilson airport takes about 50 minutes, followed by a 1-hour road transfer from Keekorok airstrip. Mara Sopa Lodge boasts of 99 rooms, with 4 of them being inter connected, 1 being a honeymoon suite and 12 being suites which are very spacious. At the lodge, you will also find a conference room that can accommodate up to 70 people in theatre style.
