MAISHA SWEETWATERS CAMP – OL PEJETA CONSERVANCY
Maisha Sweetwaters Camp is a tented camp located near Ol Pejeta Conservancy, Nanyuki. It is conveniently situated near Rongai gate, with the drive from the camp to the conservancies’ entrance gate taking about 10 minutes. Maisha Sweetwater’s Camp is therefore a good choice for travelers who would like to enjoy game drives and other activities inside the vast Ol Pejeta conservancy that covers an area 110, 000 acres.
Ol Pejeta conservancy is one of Africa’s best wildlife conservation projects, and East Africa’s largest Rhino sanctuary. It is also home to Najin and Fatu, the only two northern White Rhinos that remain in the world today.
Maisha Sweetwaters camp opened in June 2024 and boasts of spacious luxurious tents, with some of them overlooking the Ol Pejeta Conservancy and Mt. Kenya, Africa’s second highest mountain. Each tent at Maisha Sweetwaters Camp is well decorated and furnished with en suite facilities complete with flushing toilets, bathrooms with cold and hot showers, comfortable wooden beds with quality beddings, mosquito nets, free toiletries, complimentary purified drinking water, tea & coffee making facilities and much more.
The camp’s verandahs and terraces offer stunning views of the Mountain ranges and the camp’s beautiful surroundings. There is also a fire place where guests can relax in the evening enjoying drinks as they compare notes on the wildlife sightings of the day.
The camp has a restaurant that serves both international and African inspired cuisine. At Maisha Sweetwaters Camp, you will also find a well-stocked bar that sells a variety of wine, gin, whiskey, cocktails, spirits, local and international beer brands.
Maisha Sweetwaters Camp is located about 25 kilometers from Nanyuki town and 217 kilometers from Nairobi on a drive that takes about 3.5 hrs. One can also take a scheduled 50 minutes flight from Wilson Airport.
